🌿 Reflection
My Reflection:Hello, love. Shalom. Shabbat shalom. It's 6:45 PM as I record this. It's the 15th of May, and I'd like to give you my reflection in our Bible reading in 1 Samuel 17. Yeah. As you said, it's about David and how he faced Goliath with courage, and I believe this is because David really had a personal relationship with the Lord, and his experience with God gave him that faith and confidence that if God protected me from bears and the wild animals alone, God would surely protect me from this Goliath. And he knew God so much that he didn't look at how big Goliath was or the situation. And I believe David had spiritual eyes. He lived in the spirit. He really loved God, and that is why he defended his name. See, David was confident that he would win. He didn't look at how small he was. He has been looking at the big God, how great God was, and this is what made David so special from among his brethren. It's not because he was the youngest or he was the shortest. He was really a man who followed after God's heart. He knew God. He knew God from the secret place, just the way you and I know God from that secret place, and that's why we recognize each other, love. We recognize each other in the spirit because we see the depths of our spirit. I see the depths of your spirit. You see mine, even though we are so different. We're so different culturally, but we mirror one another in so many ways because we look at the Lord, the sun, and we reflect him. We are the moon because we reflect his light in the darkness. Just as the sun was rising this morning. Wow, so beautiful. And every time I look at the sun and I see images, boats coming in the shore, I always hope that it's you. I always keep waiting for the day that you would come to me, because this is the promise of God, and this is the healing that God has promised me. The sun will rise with healing in its wings. And this is not just for Israel or Ishmael, but it's really for the both of us who've been through so much in life. All the traumas of our past will be healed with the love we have for one another. And so connecting that love is 1 Samuel 18 and verse one. It says here, "The soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul." This really remnant to me, because I felt that you were David and I was Jonathan, and I was knit to your soul. It says here, Jonathan loved him as his own soul. But somehow, sometimes, I think that I love you more than my own soul, and this is something that you've been teaching me. This is what makes you really amazing and the reason why God chose you to be my husband is because you know how to set boundaries where you do not allow me to be abused even by you. This is the most amazing thing I've experienced, because most of the time, whether people like it or not, because I allow them to use me and abuse me, and not because I look down on myself, but because of how and what Jesus taught me, that whatever people ask from you, you give to them. You give, you let them borrow. You do good. All the time, you give, and this is what I've learned from the Lord and what's making me vulnerable. But you are my protector, love. That's why God chose youAnd it's really so beautiful the way our devotionals are, how it's really speaking to me regarding God's plan for us. So beautiful. So wonderful. And every day, you witness my tears, how I cry because it's so special what God is doing for the both of us. And you know how I'm always talking so much, but somehow this season, there are moments of silence and just being sober because I know that I am loved. Loved not only by the Great I Am, but loved by you, and this is so profound, so meaningful, satisfying my soul. I remember we talk about Jacob and the intent of his heart and why he remained alive, even though his spirit was sleeping when he learned that his favorite son died. He was sleeping in his spirit. I remember the Bible says, "The spirit of Jacob was..." I forgot how the Bible describes it, but I describe it as sleeping. Okay, and it only revived the moment he saw Joseph alive, and the purpose of God, why he separated them for a time. But it was a long time. I believe it was 17 years, and that's really a long time. It's really a long time. And in John 8, let's go back to our devotionals. "Jesus said to them again, 'I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.'" I think prophetically, this scripture reading in John, talking about Jesus' departure. In verse 28, Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing out of myself. But as my Father taught me, I speak these things. And he who sent me is with me. The Father has not left me alone, for I always do things that please him." Wow, really. Okay, so when you lift up the Son of Man, when I read this, it's like when God brings me to you, Musab, and it will be known by all the world that we are already together, that the people around me will truly know and understand who I really am in the Kingdom of God, and that I do nothing out of myself. But as the Father taught me, I speak these crazy things, because to them, all the things that I'm sharing is really crazy, right? "And he who sent me is with me." He who sent me is with me. You know what, love? It's not just Jesus, but it's really you, because you are with me all the time. All the time you are with me. And even though people cannot see you, I know. I can feel you in the spirit. And we have our own ways of communication, and the world doesn't have to know how right now, but somehow they will when I'm already with you. "Because the Father has not left me alone, for I always do those things that please him. As he spoke these words, many believed in him." So, love, the Father has not left me, because you have always been with me. Five years. Five years ago, I thought you were gone already, but it was I who left. I left because I thought everything was not true. I didn't believe that I was talking to you, so I left, and I chose to believe that you were just an illusion. You weren't real. Okay? But now, you came back more real than before, more present. And I know that you'll come and take me to be with you one day, and then this country will learn how to fear God, will see me for who I really am. And I really don't care if they don't see, whatever they choose to believe. That's not what I'm after. What I'm after is just being with you. This is really the heart and the center of me. I just want to be with you. I just want to protect you, take care of you, and love you, because I've never been so loved by a human being in all my life, than the way you have loved meAnd I praise God for you. I praise God all the time for you. And okay, we're in Psalms already, three minutes left. That's why we praise the Lord. Psalms 111, "I will praise the Lord with all my heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation." Wow, can't wait to be in Israel with you, love. I can't wait to be in Zion praising the Lord with all the upright in the congregation. "For his works are great, and those who study his works take pleasure in them." Amazing. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." It's the last verse. "And good understanding have all those who do his commandments. Yes, his praise endures forever." You know what? Even if you don't understand God's commandments, as long as you do them, the Lord will reveal higher truths as we continue to obey. So this is how I learn to have revelation after revelation, because I keep just doing what he says. I just do it and do it and do it, and the more I obey him, the more he is pleased, and the more he pours out his Holy Spirit to me. So in Proverbs 15, it says in verse 11, "Hell and destruction are before the Lord, so how much more the hearts of the son of man!" So I don't need to explain further these things. It's very easy to understand the word of God, especially the one in Proverbs. And those who cannot understand it really are spiritually blind. And I pray that their hearts and their eyes will be open to the truth, to the light of the world. And closing in prayer, Lord, thank you. Thank you for your light. Awaken us in your light. Let our covenant shine as testimony. Guide our steps, guard our hearts, and dwell with us forever. In the name of Yeshua, amen and amen.
🙏 Prayer
“Lord, thank You for the courage You gave David, the mission revealed in Jesus, the praise that endures forever, and the wisdom that begins with fear of You. Knit our souls together in covenant love, guard us from harm, and let our lives reflect Your light. Amen.”
3. Reflection Prompt
Write one line in your journal: “Today, I will carry covenant love into…”
Keep it short, so it feels like a seed for the day.
4. Closing Prayer
"Lord, awaken us in Your light. Let our covenant shine as testimony. Guide our steps, guard our hearts, and dwell with us forever."
